Ribal Al-Assad, the Director of the ODFS, this week had a meeting with Richard Howitt, Labour Member of the European Parliament, in the House of Commons. In the European Parliament, Mr Howitt is Vice Chair of the Human Rights Sub Committee, a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Human Rights, Common Security and Defence Policy and is the Labour European Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs

Commenting on the meeting, Ribal said:

“I was delighted and honoured to meet Richard Howitt. We had a comprehensive discussion about the urgent need to end the repression in Syria and bring peaceful transitional democratic reform. I look forward to working with him on these issues.”
