They had a wide ranging discussion on the prospects of democratic reform in Syria and the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Mi\u00dffelder is a Member of the German Parliament&#8217;s Foreign Affairs Committee, and is the CDU&#8217;s Parliamentary spokesman on Foreign Affairs. He is also a Member of the Pr\u00e4sidium of the CDU (the highest federal body) and Chairman of the CDU&#8217;s Young Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ribal said, &#8220;I was delighted and honoured to meet MP Philipp Mi\u00dffelder, who is a rising star in German politics. We had an excellent discussion on bringing peaceful transitional democratic change in Syria and challenging extremism in the Middle East.
