In the European Parliament, Dr Tannock is Foreign Affairs and Human Rights Spokesman for the UK Conservative delegation. He is a full member of the European Parliament&#8217;s Foreign Affairs Committee and the Human Rights Subcommittee. Dr Tannock is also the Spokesman for the European Conservatives and Reformist Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ribal Al-Assad said, &#8220;I was honoured and priviliged to meet Dr Tannock. We had an excellent discussion about bringing democracy, freedom and human rights to Syria, and peace in the Middle East.
