A suicide bomber killed 26 people and wounded 63 in Damascus on Friday, leaving carnage in the heart of the Syrian capital after similar attacks two weeks ago. The bomber blew himself up near a school in in the historic Midan quarter.
Commenting on the attack Ribal Al-Assad, Director of the ODFS, said:
“I condemn this evil and mindless terrorist attack. The people who carried it out must be brought to justice. There must be an independent investigation to find out who was behind the attack. I call on all sides in Syria to end the violence and move towards a peaceful transition.”
