Ribal Al-Assad, the Director of the ODFS, has condemned the twin suicide car bombings in Damascus, which killed 44 people and injured 166. The suicide bombs, aimed at two security buildings, left human limbs littered across streets in Damascus.

Ribal said:

“I condemn these barbaric terrorist attacks, which mark a dangerous escalation in the conflict. The criminals who perpetrated these acts must be brought to justice. There must be an independent investigation to establish who was behind the bombings. I call upon the people of Syria to stick with peaceful protest otherwise the country will slide into a full scale civil war, which is not in anyone’s interests.”
