Ribal Al-Assad, the Director of the ODFS, had a meeting with Ambassador Wu Sike, the Special Envoy of the People’s Republic of China to the Middle East, in China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing. They had a comprehensive discussion about China’s role in helping to end the repression in Syria and moving towards peaceful change.

Ambassador Wu Sike is also a Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and a Member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Group in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Commenting on the meeting, Ribal, said:

“I was delighted and honoured to meet Ambassador Wu Sike. We had an excellent discussion about China’s role in helping to the end the violence in Syria and bringing stability. I look forward to working with him and China to bring peaceful change in Syria.”
