ODFS Director, Ribal Al-Assad today met with Conservative MP Keith Simpson in the House of Commons. Mr Simpson is Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the British Foreign Secretary William Hague MP.

Ribal Al-Assad said, “I was delighted and honoured to meet Keith Simpson. I expressed my thanks to the British Government for calling for the release of jailed Syrian lawyer Muhannad Al-Hassani and calling on the Syrian regime to fulfil all of its human rights obligations. We had an excellent discussion about bringing democracy, freedom and human rights to Syria. I look forward to working with Keith Simpson and the Foreign Office.”
