Ribal Al-Assad, the Director of the ODFS, has welcomed China’s statement that it is sending an envoy to Syria to find a political solution to the crisis there.

Ribal said:

“I welcome the Chinese’s government’s diplomatic initative to find a political solution to the problems that have currently gripped Syria. I absolutely agree with the Chinese government that the Syrian regime should deliver on its reform pledges, respond to the people’s demands and that all parties should be included in the political process. The humantarian situation has deteriorated in Syria. Therefore I call on the Chinese government to urgently give humantarian aid to Syria.’
