Ribal Al-Assad, Director of the ODFS, had a meeting with new Conservative MP, Caroline Nokes in the House of Commons. They had a wide ranging discussion about Syria and the Middle East.

Commenting on the meeting, Ribal said “I was honoured and delighted to meet Caroline. We had an excellent discussion on the prospects for democratic reform in Syria and about the need to hold the regime to account to ensure that it meets its international human rights obligations, and ends its practice of arbitrary arrests and detentions. I look forward to working with her on these issues in the future.”
