Ribal Al-Assad visits the European Parliament to Promote the Campaign for Democracy and Freedom in Syria

This week ODFS Director, Ribal Al-Assad visited the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, to promote the campaign for democracy, freedom and human rights in Syria. He had a series of meetings with senior members of the European Parliament and advisers.

Ribal Al-Assad said, "I was delighted and honoured to be at the European Parliament, which is the directly elected Parliament of the European Union, whose member states have institutions guaranteeing democracy, rule of law, human rights, respect for and protection of minorities and functioning market economies. I had very interesting and constructive discussions with senior MEPs and advisers about the ODFS campaign to bring democracy, freedom and human rights to Syria. I look forward to further such meetings in the near future."
