Ribal Al-Assad, Founder & Director of the ODFS and Dr. Halla Diab, Spokeswoman for the ODFS, spoke at a conference on 8 December on Syria in the European Parliament hosted by ECR UK MEP Sajjad Karim. Other speakers included members of Syrian opposition groups and a representative from the External Action Service. The public hearing discussed the current situation in Syria and its next steps, and the role the EU can play.
